Common questions

Whatever is at its best that week: greens and radishes early in the season, tomatoes, beans and cucumbers in summer, squash, roots and brassicas in the fall. A typical box holds seven to ten items; the current week's list is on the harvest page.

The beds are never ploughed or rotovated. Compost is spread on top and crops go in through it, so the soil structure and the life in it are left intact. It is more work up front and far less every year after.

Grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, on compost and cover crops, and we will explain any practice you ask about. Certification is a separate question we are glad to discuss.

The core of the box follows the harvest, and a swap table at pickup lets you trade an item you do not want for one you do.

Tell us the week before and we donate your box or double up the following week, your choice.
