How we work
A process you can follow
Every engagement runs the same way, so you know what happens next.
Four stages
1. Plan
The winter is spent on the crop plan: what, where, how much and when, bed by bed.
2. Sow
Seeds start in the greenhouse from February and go into the beds in succession every week.
3. Tend
Beds are weeded by hand and hoe, watered by drip, and covered with row cover as the weather needs.
4. Harvest
Picked at dawn, washed and cooled the same morning, packed into boxes and onto the stand by noon.

Questions
Whatever is at its best that week: greens and radishes early in the season, tomatoes, beans and cucumbers in summer, squash, roots and brassicas in the fall. A typical box holds seven to ten items; the current week's list is on the harvest page.
The beds are never ploughed or rotovated. Compost is spread on top and crops go in through it, so the soil structure and the life in it are left intact. It is more work up front and far less every year after.
Grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, on compost and cover crops, and we will explain any practice you ask about. Certification is a separate question we are glad to discuss.
